How to gain muscle
Gaining muscle requires a combination of resistance training, proper nutrition, and rest.
Here are some tips to help you gain muscle 💪
> Structuring your program to train in progressive overload Increasing the weight and intensity over time overloads the muscles in order to create the stimulus that’s going to cause them to grow and adapt.
> Fueling your body with an appropriate amount of calories and protein Aim for a calorie surplus of about 200–250 above maintenance and 0.8–1.0g of protein per kg bodyweight per day (70kg — roughly 70g of protein per day)
> Rest and recovery: your muscles grow during your rest periods, so it is important to allow enough time for your muscles to recover. Aim for 7–9 hours of sleep per night and work out 3–5 times per week.
